They are very angry and have been extremely hurtful. I fear my children (10 & 7) are beginning to catch on. Christmas was very difficult...they have begun giving back things I gave them and demanding memoribilia back etc. When I try to talk they get upset. I sent them some books like "parents of Missionaries" they returned them to me. I feel as though I am grieving the loss of my parents. I don't know what else to do or how to talk to them. I have prayed for God to be glorified. I have held my tounge and not lashed back, but it is getting very difficult. Does anyone have any suggestions??? I am having a really hard time with my parents. Over the years, Gary and I chose to stick with the policy of buying a car only with cash (learned from our parents), and have purchased three new vehicles after saving up...instead of the other way around. We thought that we went into marriage debt-free with the exception of $400 that Chris still owed to CFNI. However, about a month in, I started receiving letters from creditors saying I owed $1,400 for a school loan from my first college. We came to find out that I had existing loans from a couple years ago that I had no idea about and would have paid off already, except that I didn't know about it. How very convenient that it came up as soon as we began to pursue missions and our calling... never the less we put as much as we could into savings (which wasn't much) and a few miraculous checks came in here and there... and before we knew it there was miraculously almost $2,000 in savings, and God woke Chris up in the middle of the night and told him to pay off all of our debt. So we paid off the school bill, credit card, and the $1,400 school loan in faith (because now we had no savings and only $20 in checking) and now God has poured out His blessings!~ We are COMPLETELY debt free, we own everything that we have (except our apartment) and He continues to bring us miraculous checks and other blessings, and we've more than paid back everything that we took out of our savings... by looking at the numbers we shouldn't be able to make it every month on the income we have, but we do...
